How can Promercium stay competitive against major, well-established commodity traders like Trafigura, Vitol, and Glencore?

This has always been a key issue, and if you look closely, there are many smaller and mid-sized companies that have been active in this sector for years. The only reason most people don’t know about them is because the media tends to focus exclusively on the big players. It’s undeniable that, for example, securing bank financing for SMEs is becoming increasingly difficult, but where there's a will, there's always a way.
In general, companies should start focusing on building business relationships based not just on getting the best price, but also by incorporating the concept of diversification into their decision-making. This means considering who you buy from, and who gets a share of your sales and purchases. The times are becoming more volatile, and it's important to recognize what it would mean if a key part of your business—responsible for, say, a quarter of your revenue—suddenly disappears.
Diversification is essentially an insurance policy and sometimes it's worth paying a little more for it.
